The close corporation «Victoria»,
was established in 1940 under the style of clothes factory
#4. Till 1941 the factory manufactured outdoor mens
and womens clothes. In 1941 it was evacuated to the
city of Baku. Since February, 1943 the employees began to
restore the factory ruined by fascists. Till 1947 the working
places in the work-shops were distributed according to the
principle of group drive and worked by means of transmission.
The complete replacement of the machines burnt during the
war-time had been finished by 1952. The factory included
several departments: a work-shop for preparation raw material,
a cutting-out work-shop, experimental, sewing and completion
work-shop, a store of additional materials, a mechanical
work-shop, a medical unit, a canteen, a child centre, a
recreational centre on the left bank of the river Don. The
factory was supplied with the fabrics from Moscow, Krasnodar,
Ivanovo, Minsk, Bryansk. The sales were produced through
the network of íRostgorodezhdaì and other
trading networks of the Soviet Union.
Since
1952 the collective of the factory has been competing with
the collective of the clothes factory #12 and the factory
«Mayak» in Lvov, since 1978 a treaty of concord
was concluded with the plant «Mzia» from the
city of Pleven in Bulgaria. The treaties of concord were
also concluded with the trading organizations under the
motto «Perfect done perfect sold».
In the anniversary year of 1967 the collective of the factory
took the first place in the socialist competition and was
rewarded with the challenge red banner of the city committee
of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and city executive
committee. The challenge banner of the regional committee
of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) in honour
of the XXV congress of the CPSU was presented to the factory
for ever. For success in labour and in honour of the 60-years
of the formation of the USSR the collective of the factory
was rewarded with the anniversary red pennant and the diploma
of the district of Pleven.
In
1970 in honour of the centennial of Lenins birthday
131 people were rewarded with the anniversary medals «For
valiant labour». For the achieved success in labour
28 people were rewarded with orders and medals.
Since September 1, 1975 the factory is a part of the Industrial
Clothing Union on manufacturing outdoor clothes. Since January
1, 1987 the collective of the factory has been working in
the new economic conditions the conditions of self-repaying
and self-financing.
In
October, 1991 the clothes factory ú4 was renamed
into Rostov Industrial Commercial Firm «Victoria».
In 1992 a technical re-equipment of the enterprise was carried
out, there were inculcated high-producing conveyors on manufacturing
mens suits and trousers with he installing and mastering
of the imported equipment. For this purpose a reorganization
was carried out: a new work-shop for manufacturing articles
in small batches, a new shop
and a customizing fashion
house were established (09.06.1995). The experimental
work-shop was also extended. Great attention is paid to
the creation of the collection of elegant business and evening
suits.
03.11.1995 The Firm «Victoria» gets
the certificate of Russian Federation «The leader
of the Russian economy» signed by Valeriy Mastyugin
the Director of the Fund of Assistance to the International
Programs of UNO, the President of the Commission of Experts
on Economical Matters. The certificate proves that the firm
«Victoria» is included into the 5000 of leading
enterprises, having the status of «the leader of the
Russian economy» The official information about
the enterprise is to be published in the national yearly
«The Blue Pages of Russia».
03.12.1998 The Firm «Victoria» is awarded
a second degree Diploma in the show-competition «The
Best Samples of Goods» devoted to the 250th anniversary
of Rostov-on-Don, signed by the Mayor of the city of Rostov-on-Don,
Michael A. Chernyshov.
